Lea Caplenor

Hello, my name is Lea Caplenor and I am the owner and party specialist for Modern Play. I have accomplished many things, but my biggest accomplishment is being a mom. I have 2 brilliant, active kids: Reagan who is 11 and Reed who is 9. I am also the wife of an awesome guy named Ben. I have a Bachelors of Science degree with an emphasis in Psychology from Cumberland University and have spent the last 24 years teaching dance and tumbling in all kinds of environments, from satellite programs, to daycares to recreational studios thru competitive ones. I graduated High school from North Carolina School of the Arts, danced with Pennsylvania Ballet and Nashville Ballet. Before moving to Chattanooga I owned my own Dance Studio in Lebanon, Tennessee.

My passion is working with kids and being a positive role model ; influencing them to be healthy, active, happy and proud of their accomplishments. Believe it or not my kids helped shape this idea of having a space where they could play, learn and exercise in a safe environment. Reagan and Reed both enjoy exercising with me. I believe leading children by example to live a healthy life is so important. It is amazing how being a parent brings out your best version of yourself. But there is also guilt of spending time on yourself. How cool is it that they can learn and be active and so can you at Modern Play? Both feeling refreshed and energized! Modern Play is a place like no other!

When I am not working, I love firepit nights at home and spending time watching my kids do what they love. My door is always open. I want to partner with you and build a relationship with your child to help them prosper and grow up healthy and happy.

Morgan Wann

Hello, my name is Morgan Wann and I am the marketing director and instructor for Modern Play.

Since I was a little kid I always wanted to be a teacher, and after growing up with little sisters, I was a natural. For 6 years I have been professionally working with children, starting at a daycare and then went on to teach gymnastics, mommy and me classes and dance. For two years I lead a gymnastics special needs class and a bi weekly program for special needs children through parks and recreation.

When I’m not working I like to spend time with friends and family, traveling and doing photography, art or anything creative! I have always had a passion for teaching (and learning from) children. Working with children has taught me patience, how to be flexible, how to use my imagination and how to love unconditionally. My mission is to help every child discover their inner talents, overcome their fears, and help them be the best they can be!

Rachel-Garrett

Rachael Garrett

Rachael Garrett is a mom of twin boys who loves to help children accomplish their goals. She currently owns a small marketing business that helps local businesses. She grew up in gymnastics starting at 4 years old then switched to competitive Cheerleading in 6th grade in Ooltewah, TN. After cheering on the sidelines in high school, she decided to teach cheer and gymnastics while in college. She taught classes for 5 years then switched her career. This past year she went to trampoline gym with her boys and noticed a younger girl that was so close to landing a back handspring but needed a few pointers. She helped the little girl and it made her remember why she loved being a coach. The little girl was so proud to finally land it with a different approach. Rachael is very excited about teaching classes again, especially at Modern Play! With her background, she wants to ensure beautiful technique and proper form for skills needed in gymnastics and tumbling while having fun.
